Project Steps Implemented & Ongoing
Research & Development
Being a CLI script app qycli is hosting software for WordPress that is tightly integrated with Cloudflare and builds a fast custom LEMP stack for you on your server.
Design
The name and visual identity were crafted according to qycli being a command line script. The logo was also animated with that in mind (see below). The design of the website is still in the works, but can be seen in the teaser below.
Software Development
With simplicity and integration in mind qycli is being developed as a collection of BASH scripts on GitHub.
System Operations
Custom build servers and scripts were implemented to build the preliminary packages which will be replaced soon with packages from unypkg.
Logo Design & Animation
The logo was designed with a monospaced typeface, that was adapted for a unique look. The animation is done with handcoded SVG SMIL.
Software Development - Ongoing
Using a number of open source hosting scripts for WordPress, I never found one that is integrated with Cloudflare in the way I want and need it to be. Most open source projects try to give you many options and try to do everything by themselves and stay free of big tech companies like Cloudflare.
With qycli I try to give very good default settings and a very good integration to Cloudflare and keep things as simple as possible. It is written nearly completely in BASH and will be finished enough to be used after unypkg is done and provides the packages for qycli.
Web Design - Ongoing
A website was started but halted until unypkg and qycli are finished as released versions. The screenshot shows the unfinished header and hero section.
